Land Rover milestone to encourage sales and hire

It has been revealed that Jaguar Land Rover has now produced their 300,000th Freelander 2 at the Halewood factory in Britain.  Such a high number is an important milestone for the company, and the added news and interest in the factory and the brand is sure to attract a great deal of attention and result in an increased demand for Range Rover hire.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has been producing Freelancer 2’s at the Halewood factory since October 2006.  Operational director at the plant, Richard Else, said: “I’d like to congratulate the Halewood team for reaching this superb milestone and also sustaining the highest quality standards on Freelander 2, during the Range Rover Evoque launch period.  Freelander was Land Rover’s biggest selling model last year retailing around 52,000 units globally.”

New jobs with Land Rover highlight Evoque demand

It is not news that the Range Rover Evoque continues to be a very popular model with consumers.  Since its launch last year, both Range Rover hire and sales numbers have rocketed for the company’s latest vehicle, which combines both luxury and affordability into one car.  Whilst Land Rover’s top sports vehicles have been at the upper end of the expense scale, the Evoque offers sumptuous comfort and high performance for a much lower cost to drivers.  As a result, it has been in high demand.

Audi excels in sales for April

The car rental market is often swayed by the sales market, with changes in trends affecting the type of vehicles that consumers want to hire.  It has been revealed that Audi outsold BMW in April for the first time in over a year, indicating that Audi car hire could see a resurgence in popularity.

Whilst April saw BMW’s sales rise by 7.4% to around 121,476 vehicles, Audi shone with a gain of 14.4% to 125,200 cars.  The chic and beautiful sport-utility vehicles are renowned around the world for their luxurious comfort and stunning performance, and it seems that consumers have once again begun to lean towards these popular vehicles.
