The World Fastest Production Car

Tesla Roadster (The World Fastest Production Car)

In November 2017, California USA. Elon Musk took to the stage to announce the new $200,000 Tesla Roadster. Claiming to be the fastest production car and according to Elon Musk it’s capable of 0 to 60 mph in an excitingly impressive 1.9 seconds and 0 to 100 mph in and insanely 4.2 seconds,  with a maximum speed of 250 mph making it quicker than any street legal car to date.

The roadster was designed by Franz Von Holzhausen who previously worked at Mazda (Kabura) and Volkswagen (new Beetle), he is responsible for the the designs of the Tesla Model S, Model X and the Model 3. The Roadster will have four seats and on a single charge will be able to travel up to 620 miles (1000 km) making it a new record for an electric vehicle, “You’ll be able to travel from LA to San Francisco, and back, at highway speed without recharging. The point of doing this is to just give a hardcore smackdown to gasoline cars. Driving a gasoline sports car is going to feel like a steam engine with a side of quiche,”

The first 1,000 cars will cost $250,000 each, paid in full up front, with later models starting at $200,000.
