What clients say

Season Car Rental is rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google, from 600 reviews. This page says where that number comes from and how to check it, because a rating you cannot verify is only a number on a website.

The rating, and where it comes from

4.9 out of 5, from 600 reviews, on the Google Business Profile. Not an average across several places, not a blend of Google, a review site and feedback sent to us directly — one platform, one profile, one number.

That distinction is the whole point. A rating held by Google is the only version of it nobody here can edit, which makes it the only version worth quoting. Check it at source rather than taking it from us; that is what the profile is for.

Why there are no testimonials of our own on this page

Because we cannot say where they came from. There are a handful of quotes in the back of this website, attributed to a verified private client, a verified airport client and a verified private office. They may well be real. Nobody working on the site can prove it, and verified is a claim about provenance specifically — it is the part of a testimonial that does the work.

Writing new ones was the other option and it was never an option. An invented review is a fabricated endorsement from a customer who does not exist, put in front of the customers it claims to speak for. So this page carries a rating with a source, and no quotes without one.

What appears here, and how

Reviews are read from Google at the moment the page loads and shown in the reviewer’s own name and own words. Nothing is retyped, nothing is rewritten, nothing is written here by us. If the connection is not available the page shows the rating and its source and nothing else — it fails to empty rather than to fiction.

Two things are a choice rather than an accident, and both are worth stating plainly. Only four- and five-star reviews are shown, which is the same choice any testimonial section on any website makes, and the profile itself — where the rest of them live — is one click away. And a long review is cut at the end of a sentence or left out altogether, never trimmed mid-thought with an ellipsis, because a truncated review reads as though something unflattering was removed.

Why there is no star rating in the search results for this page

Deliberately. Google has not accepted review markup that a business places on its own site, about itself, since 2019. Stars written into the code here would earn no stars in the search results and would carry the risk of a manual penalty instead. Genuine reviews do not change that — the objection is to who is doing the marking up, not to whether the reviews are real.

Any rating you see beside Season Car Rental in Google’s own results comes from the Business Profile, which Google sources itself and therefore trusts. The right thing for this website to do is point at that profile rather than restate its contents, and that is what it does.

Leaving one

On the Google Business Profile, in your own words, flattering or otherwise. Nothing is offered in exchange, and we do not chase the good ones and let the others lie — a high average is only worth something if the reviews that were not five stars were left exactly where the reviewer put them.

Questions, answered

Are the reviews on this page real?

Every review shown here is read directly from Season Car Rental’s Google Business Profile and displayed in the reviewer’s own name and words. None are written, edited or retyped by us. When the profile cannot be read, the page shows the rating and its source and no quotes at all rather than filling the space with something else.

Where does the 4.9 rating come from?

The Google Business Profile: 4.9 out of 5, from 600 reviews. It is not an average across several platforms and it is not calculated on this website. Google holds it, which is precisely what makes it checkable.

Why is there no star rating on this page in Google’s results?

Because Google does not accept review markup a business puts on its own site about itself, and has not since 2019. Adding it would earn nothing and risk a penalty. The rating shown beside the business in Google’s own results comes from the Business Profile instead, which Google compiles rather than us.

Do you use customer quotes elsewhere on the site?

Only where the source can be named. Quotes that nobody could trace were taken off the service pages and collected in one place so they can be replaced with sourced ones rather than quietly reused. A quote with no provenance is decoration, not evidence.

How do I leave a review?

On the Google Business Profile, which is where all of them live. Nothing is offered in exchange and nothing is filtered on the way in. If the point is to get something fixed rather than recorded, ring 0207 046 0048 — Monday to Saturday, 06:00 to 23:00, Sunday by appointment — because that is faster than either of us waiting on a reply.

Do you have references from corporate clients?

Ask, and we will put you in touch with account holders who have agreed to speak to prospective ones — with their permission, arranged individually, rather than as quotes on a page. Corporate car hire is where this comes up most, and it is a reasonable thing to ask for before an account is opened.
