All our prices are inclusive of VAT and Insurance with excess.

Hire Terms

1. Drivers
1.1 All drivers hiring a supercar or premium luxury vehicle must be 30 years and above with a maximum age of 70 with a minimum of 5 years driving experience. Your Sales Representative can confirm which vehicles this applies to.
1.1a All other vehicles are 25 years and above to aged 70 with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
Following Identification must be provided:
Full driving licence
DVLA Check Code (UK Licence Holders)
Passport
A Credit or Debit card is required in the name of the main driver for the security deposit (we only accept credit card for the deposit if you are renting a supercar).
1 proof of address (utility bill/bank statement dated within the last 3 months- should match billing address for payment card)
Please note mobile phone bills are not acceptable as proofs of address.

FOREIGN DRIVERS:All foreign (non-UK) license

1.2 All IDs and documents will need to be received at least 7 days before the hire date to allow sufficient time for them to be processed.
1.3 If you have less than 7 days until your hire please ensure that you get your IDs across as soon as possible and discuss this with the Sales Representative.
1.4 If documents are submitted later than the agreed upon time, then this may cause delays to the booking up to and including cancellation.
1.5 Season Car Rental is not responsible for any cancellations or delays due to late document submission, and the full booking rate/cancellation fee will remain due.

2. UK Licences

– Must have held a full UK licence for at least 3 years.
– Must not have been convicted with more than 1 minor conviction within the last 3 years, from the date of conviction, of

any of the following minor motoring offences; CU (except CU80) / LC / MW / PC / PL / SP / TS / MS (except MS50).
– Must not have been convicted within the last 4 years, from the date of conviction, of any of the following major motoring

offences; AC / BA / CD / CU80 / IN / MR / MS50 / DR / XX / TT / UT / DD / DG.
– Must not have any prosecutions or police enquiries pending.
– Must not have had any accident, incident, fire or theft losses in the last 3 years.
– Must not have had any criminal convictions, unless they are no longer disclosable under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (ROA) as amended by the Legal Aid, Sentencing & Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO)

In the event of a booking decline due to insurance terms, Season Car Rental will issue a refund for the full amount paid minus any applicable processing fees.

Any driver who does not meet the above criteria or does not have the necessary IDs and/or funds will not be hired to and any monies paid will be non-refundable. 100% of the full rental amount may also become payable if the hire is due to commence within less than 48 hours.

3. International Licences
All international license holder bookings are subject to referral to our insurers.
International License Holder documents must be submitted no less than 7 days prior to the booking commencement.
Any documents submitted less than 7 days before booking commencement may cause delays to the booking start time, up to and including cancellation.
Season Car Rental is not responsible for delays or cancellations to bookings related to late document submission, and the full booking amount will still be due for payment.
All International License is accepted with an additional £2000 Excess.

4. Payments
4.1 All payments must be made on the main driver’s credit/debit card.
4.2 Payment for a rental can also be transferred
4.3 If making a bank transfer, cleared funds must be received before the car leaves our premises.
4.4 All outstanding amounts must be paid in full before the car leaves our premises unless you are a corporate account holder and have credit terms agreed with us. Under no circumstances will we offer credit to any customer who does not hold a credit account with us.
4.5 Accepted Payment Methods for Rental:

5. Security Deposit
5.1 The security deposit is a pre-authorisation on the main driver’s credit/debit card which is processed on the day of the hire.
5.2 Security Deposits must be taken via a chip and pin transaction either at the time of collecting the vehicle from our office or on delivery.
5.3 As this is a pre-authorisation, therefore, the funds are held and not taken from your account. Your available balance will decrease and then upon release, it will increase again.
5.4 At the end of the hire, the security deposit will be released within 7 working days once the car has been checked in by our aftercare team. Once the deposit is released e, it can then take up to 10 working days to appear back in your account this depends on your bank.
5.5 If you wish to pay an early release fee of £10, we can put a transaction through which will release your deposit within 3 working days. This is from the time of receiving a confirmation email from our Aftercare Team informing you that the car has been returned to an acceptable standard.
5.6 Every customer must leave a security deposit, as without it the vehicle will not be released. If the Hirer is unable to leave the full security deposit, any monies paid will be non-refundable and if this is less than 48 hours until the hire is due to commence, 100% of the booking amount will become payable regardless of previous agreements.
5.7 Accepted Cards for Security Deposit

6. Bookings
6.1 If a booking is to commence on a Monday, the earliest collection time is 3 pm so that it does not interfere with the weekend booking.
6.2 If a car is to be returned on a Friday it must return by noon the latest so that it does not interfere with the weekend booking.
6.3 These conditions may be waived by a Sales Representative upon request; however, an early collection or late return fee of £50 may be charged.
6.4 Your Sales Representative will notify you of any charges incurred by your requested collection or return times

7. Insurance
7.1 If at the time of booking the Hirer selects the option to use our insurance, UK fully comprehensive insurance will be provided as long as the driver meets all requirements as set out above.
7.2 Our insurance policy includes a damage excess and a total write off the excess which is the Hirer’s maximum liability in the event of any damage to the vehicle or the event of an accident. The excess amount is subject to the vehicle hired; please see your quotation for excess details.

8. Additional Costs and Aftercare
8.1 At the time of collecting the vehicle, you will be asked to sign a rental agreement and Aftercare Sheet – a copy of this is available beforehand if requested.
8.2 Once the vehicle is returned, the vehicle will be checked in by our staff and you will receive an email to confirm that the car meets our required standards. If there are any additional charges for damages, fuel or excess mileage these will be included in the email.
8.3 In cases where the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or in poor weather conditions, a secondary inspection of the vehicle will be carried out once the car has been valeted. Your representative will let you know if this applies.
8.4 Any damages to tyres and alloys/rims will be repaired after the booking, and the costs will be borne fully by the renter.

9. Airport Delivery
9.1 If you have selected delivery at the airport, a complimentary meet and greet service is included in the price of your rental. This means that the driver will meet you inside the Terminal with a name card so that you can easily identify him. He will then escort you to your vehicle which will be parked in the short stay car park.

10. Cancellations
10.1 If your booking is cancelled more than seven days before your booking commencing, there is no cancellation fee.
10.2 If you cancel and your booking commences less than seven days and more than two days, a cancellation charge of 35% is applicable.
10.3 If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, a cancellation charge of 100% is applicable.
10.4 If you request an early return during the course of your booking, we reserve the right to offer any resulting balance in the form of account credit.
